Register .CN domains (real name validation)

If you want to register a .cn domain name, you must validate your contact information by completing real name validation prior to the registration taking place. This proves that you are actually the registrant of the domain by uploading your ID to us.

You can ensure you have the correct ID on hand by viewing the list of forms of ID we accept.

Note: In order to register a .cn domain, you must complete real name validation. Your registration will be pending until real name validation has been completed. Once RNV is complete, your registration will be attempted at the registry. If your domain is no-longer available, we will refund your application fee.

  1. From the domain manager, click either Documentation needed or Pending Document Upload.
    1. Log in to your My Products page.
    2. If you aren't automatically directed there, make sure to select the My Products tab.
    3. Next to the domain you want to use, click Manage.
    4. Complete step 1 above.
  2. Click Upload new document or Use existing document
  3. Note: We can only accept .jpg and .png file formats for uploaded documents.

  4. Complete the on-screen fields, and then click Next on each of them.

Note: The information you enter must exactly match the ID you provide or your request will be denied.

The information you enter will also become the legal registrant of your domain name.
